The Digital Modernist
Mindfulness and Modernism
After decades working with Photography, I moved ever further from that medium's reliance on realism. I eventually got to the point where what I wanted to communicate was entirely done in Digital Graphics software. The camera was a mere adjunct to the computer. At the same time I moved towards a more and more abstract style as I began to find out more and more about Modernism.
I also began to find myself expressing emotions rather than physical objects. The more I worked in this style the more I realised that was becoming a bigger and bigger element in my personal use of Mindful techniques to still my increasingly chaotic mind. I then began to try to deliberately develop the use of Digital Modernism as an additional technique for strengthening the power of Mindfulness in helping me lead a calmer, less stressful life.
Here I want to help others to find ways to use what I have learnt to help themselves
